MERIDIAN LABS ("we", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. Our apps are designed with a privacy-first architecture — all study data is stored locally on your device.
Data We Collect
Our apps store all data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers.
Data stored locally on your device includes:
- Study progress and quiz answers
- Performance statistics and accuracy metrics
- Study streak information
- App preferences (theme, accessibility settings)
- Spaced repetition and mastery level data
- Achievement and milestone tracking
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone)
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or behavioral tracking
- Payment card information (handled by App Store/Google Play)
- Photos, contacts, or other device data
How Your Data Is Stored
All study data is stored using your device's local storage. This data:
- Remains entirely on your device
- Is never transmitted to external servers
- Can be exported by you at any time via the app's Data Management feature
- Can be deleted by clearing your app data or using the in-app reset feature
Third-Party Services
Our apps use the following third-party services:
- Google Fonts: For typography. Google's privacy policy applies to font loading.
- RevenueCat: For managing in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat may receive anonymous purchase data from the App Store or Google Play. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
- App Store / Google Play: For processing in-app purchases. Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies apply to payment processing.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or data brokers.
Children's Privacy
MERIDIAN LABS apps are designed for adults preparing for professional licensing and certification exams. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used our apps, please note that no personal data is collected or transmitted.
Data Security
Your data is secured through:
- Local-only storage (no cloud transmission)
- Device-level security protections for local storage
- No account system means no credentials to protect
Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Access: View all stored data via the app's export feature
- Portability: Export your progress as JSON at any time
- Deletion: Reset all data via Settings > Data Management > Reset Progress
- No account required: Use the app without creating any account
GDPR & CCPA Compliance
Because our apps do not collect, process, or store personal data on external servers, GDPR and CCPA data subject requests are not applicable. All your data remains under your direct control on your device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of our apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
